Terminology:
AVI: ‘Audio Video Interleave’. The most common format for audio/video data on PC.

WMV: ‘Windows Media Video’ was originally designed by Microsoft for web streaming, but has gained popularity with numerous other formats, notably Blu-Ray discs . It is the default file format for Windows Media Player.
